Note: This article explains how LE7EL plans to realize its vision explained in its whitepaper — consider reading that first!

At LE7EL, our journey towards building an open gaming metaverse on decentralized infrastructure, is fueled by a long term strategic roadmap and quarterly tactical roadmaps that we will communicate through community townhalls every three months. This article will focus on the strategic roadmap.

1) Updated Whitepaper

Our first step in the strategic roadmap is to release an updated whitepaper that builds upon the existing network design — with additional documentation for clarity — and invite all stakeholders to engage in a constructive discussion around the update. We believe in the power of collective understanding and collaboration, ensuring that every stakeholder fully grasps and contributes to the bigger picture.

2) Visual Rebranding

As LE7EL has grown and expanded its reach and offerings, we recognize the need for a visual rebranding (while keeping the same name!) to better reflect these new developments. A refreshed brand identity would add significant value before the next chapter we’re entering.

3) Pre-TGE Campaign

With TGE coming up, we’re making it our highest priority to grow the community, through:

  • Partnerships and Integrations: From simple collaborations to advanced on-chain integrations, continue partnering up and integrating with as many other complementary gaming networks as possible;
  • AMAs: Through our new AMA series “Level up Web3 Gaming”, become a natural townhall for all Web3 gaming.
  • Guest Speaking: Participate in some of the top spaces on X with millions of followers;
  • Game Activities: Continue to host fun game activities to engage gamers whether it pertains to games on our own infrastructure or third party;
  • Social media: Communicate our whitepaper, roadmap, brand and values effectively through Twitter and Discord.

The way we’re able to compete and win over Meta, Roblox and other giants is that we’re the power of hundreds of thousands of people — in all corners of the world — playing, building and creating on our decentralized infrastructure and open source code, while each owning their part of the network through the $L7L token. The bigger the community, the more players, creators, operators and contributors are going to add value to and grow the network.

4) TGE: IDOs & Exchange Listing

LE7EL will self-host an IDO ahead of the public listing of the $L7L token. Following the listing, we will introduce lucrative $L7L and $PXP staking incentives to enhance accessibility, utility, and liquidity, encouraging broader participation within our ecosystem. These initiatives will also generate essential capital for the network treasury, driving future development efforts. The IDO will be launched when token listings and altcoins experience a notable increase in volume and performance. Shortly after the IDO, expect the $L7L token to be tradeable on one or several well known trading venues.

5) Onboarding Contributors

After a successful TGE, the next step would be to onboard additional contributors who resonate with our vision and possess the skills necessary to meet the diverse and growing needs that we have.

Specifically we will be looking for:

  • Game designers and developers;
  • Full stack web developers;
  • Blockchain developers.

If you or someone you know are interested in any of the listed positions above, you should reach out to us already now.

6) Web App 2.0

A bunch of new features and improvements are needed to tackle the evolving needs of our userbase.

Specifically, our short term plan includes:

  • Dashboard: A personalized dashboard for players to track their level, achievements and to-do’s;
  • Profile: A new profile feature where users can see and manage their avatars and assets;
  • Leaderboard: A new feature to display the top performers in the LE7EL ecosystem;
  • Onboarding: Enhancing onboarding processes for new users to ensure a smooth start;
  • UI/UX: Improving the overall user interface and user experience for a more seamless interaction;
  • Self-service: Making our community page, quest engine, leaderboard and shop self-service for Creators;

Longer term, we will implement all the needed features to support the DGP protocol, our minigames and flagship game explained further down in the article.

7) Decentralized Game Publishing (“DGP”) Protocol Launch

The purpose of the DGP protocol is to put our product in the hands of as many users as possible, whilte integrating $L7L as a utility token as outlined in our whitepaper. That’s not only how we achieve and retain product-market fit long term, but also how $L7L will establish a solid demand side and survive even the worst bear markets.

Thus, seeking out and establishing relationships with ambitious game creators is pivotal to the success of our network. Understanding their unique needs and aspirations for using our infrastructure is fundamental to our success. When creators are empowered to make great games for their users and communities, the players, contributors and operators will follow, and the network as a whole will grow.

Creators will be able to use this protocol to bootstrap tools, users and capital for their game, while earning $L7L from the Creator stakeholder pool. Avatars will on their side be able to review, vote and commit capital to games they believe in while earning $PXP for their contributions.

Version 1.0 of the protocol will let Creators earn $L7L based on their usage of our current tools such as quests, leaderboard and shop. Similar to our Avatar NFTs, usage metrics will be captured by their Creator NFTs and rewards will be distributed based on that in form of $CXP that they then use to level up their Creator NFTs. Specifically, Creators will be rewarded based on how many on-chain actions are done by their users through their quest pages, leaderboard and shop. This makes our reward distributions sybil resistant, while fairly incentivizing actual adoption.

Later, we will extend to rewarding Creators based on their usage of our blockchain, XR platform and server network.

8) XR 2.0 Platform & Infrastructure

As stated in our whitepaper, our goal is to build a fair and decentralized infrastructure for an ever evolving gaming metaverse, powered by super-efficient network stakeholders, all while offering Web2-level UX.

Our tactical roadmap to achieve this is;

  • Minigames: Release 3–4 minigames on top of a revamped XR platform, acting as an MVP for our Web3 UX abstraction solution that we later will utilize for our flagship game;
  • Flagship Game: Build a flagship game and supporting infrastructure as an extension of the previous minigames, that will continuously expand with third party Creator development activity;
  • Blockchain and Wallet: Release our own layer-2 zkEVM blockchain and wallet as integrations and/or customizations of existing tech, which both are core necessities for achieving the user experience, native value capture and flexibility that we need;
  • Creator Tools: Build and enhance the tools Creators can use to build their own games and worlds on top of our XR infrastructure, such as the SDK, web app, launcher, client and other tools;
  • AI Integration: We will integrate any available tool that enhances the productivity of our stakeholders in a meaningful way.

9) End to End Decentralization

To achieve end-to-end decentralization of the network, we plan to incrementally decentralize the following four parts:

  • Code: Most of our code is already open source, and we will continue to open source essential parts of our code;
  • Ownership: The decentralization of ownership is in process, as players and investors have been earning and buying the $L7L token over the past few months, and even more so when we add creator, contributor and operator rewards;
  • Servers: We’re doing a gradual transition, with the first step being migration away from AWS over to our own hardware — which is now complete — before the plan is to sometime after the release of our flagship game and creator tools to replace our own servers with a network of server operators across the globe making us sufficiently decentralized and censorship resistant;
  • Governance: Finally, the governance is the last step to be decentralized, enabling NFT holders to govern the network themselves or through delegates they trust.
